  • UTAA/Los Angeles will hold Picnic June 3, 2007

    United Taybeh American Association / Los Angeles Chapter will hold a Family & Fun Picnic on Sunday June 3, 2007 at Wlison Park at 2200 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA 90501. The Picnic will begin at 11 am and will continue through the late afternoon. Lunch will be served along with great music. Many fun activities for all ages will be awaiting all those who attend. The UTAA/Los Angeles Chapter would like to invite all to come and join the fun with the Taybeh community, friends and guests. For more information, please see the attached flyer and map.


  • UTAA sends letter regarding recent events in Taybeh

    The Board of Directors of the United Taybeh American Association (UTAA) sent a letter addressed to the Taybeh municipality concerning the recent events in Taybeh in which the mayor’s house was fired upon and young men were severely beaten and hurt under interrogation. The letter stressed the importance of Taybeh and all its concerns to the community abroad and urged everyone to work together to resolve their issues internally.   • Death of JAMAL DIAB (ABU MAJDI).

    We deeply regret to share with you the news of the death of Jamal Diab (Abu Majdi). His funeral will be held Wednesday April 18, 2007 in Maria Regina Catholic Church in Gardena, California at 10:00am.

    We extend our deepest condolences to his family and ask the Lord to have mercy on his soul.

  • Convention in Las Vegas a Huge Success

    The United Taybeh American Association (UTAA) held its annual convention for 2006 in the city of Las Vegas. It was held July 6th-8th at the Bally's Hotel and Casino. The convention was a huge success and was well attended by Taybeh people who came from throughout the states. Thanks to all of the people who were in charge and especially to Issa Nazzal, Samir Hamame, Alice Muaddi, Nadia Hamame, Salah Salah and Faeq Ady who worked very hard to make it a wonderful convention. A total of $5,000 was donated from the UTAA fund and another $5000 in donations was raised at the banquet . The money will benefit the senior citizens home in Taybeh. We are looking forward to the next convention in Philadelphia in July 2007.



  • Elections for Board Held in Las Vegas

    Elections were held on Friday July 7th, 2006 in Las Vegas for a new Board of Directors for the UTAA. The new Board will serve for 2 years. The election for the Board of Directors yielded the following members: Samir Hamame, President, Faeq Ady, Vice President, Nadia Hamame, Treasurer, Alice Muaddi, Secretary, Issa Nazzal, Director, Salah Salah, Director, and Wadie Jaser, Director.
